15 Years of THE LEONARDO DA VINCI Programme

Workers on the move: who said Erasmus was only for university students? Since 1995 the European Commission's Leonardo da Vinci Programme (LdV) has been giving people who are learning a profession or looking for their first work experience the opportunity to go abroad, get to know new colleagues and techniques and ultimately experience Europe.

To give an overview of the programme, we've prepared a dossier gathering diverse perspectives. If you are curious about what the LdV can offer you, check out our personal stories showing how three Europeans decided to apply for the Programme, what they learned from it and how this gave added value to their careers. For those more interested in facts and insights about the programme, we talked to Ute Haller-Block, the European Commission's official in charge of coordinating the LdV. And finally, if you want to know more about the impact the programme can have on a medium-sized city, have a look at our case-study of Ravenna.

If after reading our dossier, you are convinced to seek out the LdV experience for yourself, just contact your national agency dealing with the programme. They will literally tell you everything you need to know. All the information regarding these agencies is accessible here.
