Spanish women don`t need to leave the country for love..

...Italian men are the most popular dating partners for European women? These results were presented after a survey by the dating agency Match.com, who asked about 6000 European singles about their international flirting preferences and dating behaviour. In answer to the question of which nationality to date if not their own, French, Swedish and British men indicated a penchant for Spanish woman whilst German men favoured the Swedish. Unfortunately, it could be difficult for Germans' international dating wishes to be satisfied, since they are at the bottom of the desirability scale. Maybe a new look for the summer could brighten their prospects - rumour has it that socks and sandals or pot-bellies are not the best things to signal amorous intentions!

Flexible dating ambitions could be noted in the French interviewees: 40.2% of them have already left their country to date a European woman, whereas the average for this is 21.9%. Interestingly, it seems that for Spanish women it is not necessary to leave the country to have a date with a non-Spanish person: if the survey is to be believed, 49.1% of them have already dated a person from another European country, but only 10.7% of them specified that they had to leave the country to do this - presumably because they have frequent contact with all the incoming French and Swedish men.

So, if your Swedish friend is planning a trip to Spain, their reasons for this could actually be very different from the simple intention to take a holiday...
