Southern Europeans are the most likely to climax. Is it the spicy food or the hot climate?

We can only guess at the reasons why.

66 % of Spaniards and Italians manage to hit the spot almost every time, closely followed by the Greeks with 64%. These are the latest findings of the Durex Sexual Wellbeing Global Survey, which has been examining the sexual behaviour and attitudes of men and women across the globe.

Not every country in Europe can present such exciting results: In UK just 53% achieve and orgasm and at the bottom of the league is formed by the French: a paltry 48 % scream "oui". A finding which is consistent across all countries is that men generally climax more often than women. In Poland for example 82 % of men reach orgasm, in contrast to 41% of women.

In Germany, men hit the spot almost three times as often as their female counterpats. Poor ladies! Maybe they should go away on a trip to Spain during their holidays, to explore the true home of sexual satisfaction. ¡Arriba!
